Why I hate multimap...

They show no metric scales... They only show miles/yards and that crap.. see below

I'ts a shame that multimap does not display metric units for the UK, I've also noticed it switches between metric and imperial depending on the country whose map you are viewing. That will probably change once the UK road signs go metric I think.

I prefer ViaMichelin myself for journey planning, and also Streetmap, both are wholly (or almost wholly) metric. Sometimes I use Google Maps which at least allows us to switch to metric.

I gave up on Multimap a long time ago because of this. I complained to them and I do not remember receiving any favourable response. I use StreetMap http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ or Open Street Map http://www.openstreetmap.org/. The first has metric scales on UK maps. Open Street Map tells you on the website how to calculate the distances in metres based on what scale you are at (1:100000, etc.) but not any actual scale on the map. But at least no imperial anywhere on the site that I could see.
Multimap is seriously flawed considering Ordnance Survey maps have been completely metric for decades.
